Hey Gene, I'm very sorry to hear you're going to part with you beloved GMC.

I too have some physical limitations, so I thought I'd share how and my
wife and I have made changes to our coach and travel habits that have
allowed us to keep cruisin' in our GMC. Basically, we've done 2 things. We
made our coach wheel chair accessable and I taught my wife how to do all
the work. We installed a ramp that hides under the coach when not it use
and we widened the doorway to the (rear) bath. Then we installed a
macerator system and some driver comforts. Our coach has hand controls, but
she hasn't let me drive a lick in the last
20,000 miles. She loves it! We jokingly tell folks we've set back women's
lib at least 20 years with my telling her where to go, and her gladly
following my directions.

Let me know, either on or off this forum, if you'd like any further
details. I sure like to help find a way for you to continue your GMC
adventure.

Hi Dave - I think all of us would like some training from you on this topic!

Looking forward to seeing you again. Are you going to Mt. Hood?

As of now, yes. The Int'l rally will be part of a bigger trip including
Kalispell MT, and the Oregon coast.

And it's probably Dege who should do the talking. Public speaking is not
her thing, but she could probably be talked into being a participant in a
session on women driving GMC's at a future rally. This subject was
addressed at Albuquerque, but could still be a benefit to many.

See ya at Mt. Hood.
