Bill Brant wrote an excellent history of the GMC. It can be read here:
https://www.gmccolonial.com/gmc-motorhome-history
The upfitters built on a Transmode chassis which GMC made available from 1975 to 1978.
In this history Bill says:
“Some of the motorhome upfitters were Avion, Coachmen, Carriage, LRS, Midas, Norris, Hughes, Landau, Roll-a-Long, El Dorado, Foretravel, Winnebago, plus others with very low build quantities.”
