Talk about a pucker factor... Having gas running out on the ground near an exhaust pipe while filling up...
Yes, i replaced that hose...looked good but leaked like a sieve..I suspect some may be seeping out near top of hose. Mine would then run down hose to bottom and off to ground..If urs is just seeping, this might give you the smell and not see any running out. I had to pull my fender well panel to see/get to it..It's attached to body behind the panel and then runs to and down the main filler tube near frame. Gas backs up to this hose as the tanks are getting full. I put reinforced clear hose on mine and can see this happening. Mine wouldnt leak till it was getting full and kicked off.
