Haven't seen closed fuel stations here. Under $2 prices. The gas pump handles are super germ farms. It's hard to remember to ditch the gloves before
touching the door and handle and tough to remove them in a clean motion. Then the card. I have been wiping card, door handles, wheel, shifter with
Microban 24 protection cleaner. Hope it works. We had snow today but won't last the day. Need to be xtra cautious due to very elderly parents

Although I am a computer guy, I used to work in a large long term care
pharmacy, and they had us view training videos every year about removing
gloves safely. I pulled up the instructions online for you:

We came home last week from wintering in Mexico. Crossed north at Laredo Tx and headed to cross into Canada at Detroit.

Traffic was light on the interstates, mostly trucks. Gas stations were open as were their variety stores. Restaurant dining rooms were closed,
take-out or drive-thru only. We did McDonald's because it's what we know and their menu was limited to popular stuff at the one's we went to.

At construction zones there were no workers or just one or two pickups with flashing lights.

Otherwise clear sailing.

We were driving our mini-van not the coach.

Sir, we found ourselves without disposable gloves at the gas station and Cathy used a new paper towel from gas station to wrap handle. She would let
me drive but would not let me pump gas.

As long as you do not touch your face without first washing your hands,
you are good. Keep a distance to others of at least 3-5ft. Oh, and don'T
let anyone sneeze at you.

If you stick with those easy rules, you won't catch the virus.

You seem to know more about the virus than the international medical

Larry,
How bad is it out there? We had reservations for the last of April till the end of May at Topsail hill state park east of Destin. The park already
cancelled our reservations till the 16th of May. We were going to try to book the first part of May at Gulf shores state park in Alabama to cover the
early May cancellation.
I guess there are a lot of beach closures in Florida. Is that mainly to try to control the spring breakers? Maybe the beaches will reopen after spring
break and before May?
It's hard to get that info out here in Texas to make the right decision. If you have any news to add about conditions out there would be
appreciated..
Be safe! And thanks,
Scott.

Some of the reports I’ve heard said that the virus can live on a hard
surface for 72 hours. So everything you touch after you come into contact
with it can be a potential transmission point for 72 hrs. Something to keep
in mind.

Larry - get out your Black List and cell phone. First night here, we're hibernating and clear. Find one more night North, and then head on to the
house using Black Listers. Gas stations are open for the most part. Throw away gloves are de riguer for fueling, ever body and their brother has
been toughing the pump and hose nozzle. Take care. Gimme a call if you propose to hunker down here for a night or three.

> So, to answer my question, how is travel in Illinois ?

Thanks to all for your insights. After giving it a night to sleep on it, we made the decision to go home to Wisconsin. We left Jacksonville this
morning under the objections of our grandchildren at 8:30am set the cruise at 70mph and am now west of Chattanooga TN in Jasper TN at Marion Co park.
Traffic was pretty light most of the way. Been through Chattanooga and Atlanta many times, but this time we just flew through both, traffic was so
light. No problem getting fuel. Most paid was $1.99 and least was $1.55 at a Costco in Jacksonville. That was the cheapest fill ever for us. Strong
storms forecast for us tonight. so on the bright side maybe all of that pollen on the coach will get washed off. Tomorrow we will stop for the night
somewhere around Bloomington IL and make it home by late afternoon on Thursday. Then "shelter in place" till this is over. Actually looking forward to
getting home.
Before we left, 11 yr old Maggie came up to me, gave me a hug and said "grandpa...please don't go". Just gets ya right there!

Play safe ya all.

Good Deal !

Just in case it meets your needs, there is a smaller Flying J about 65-70 miles north Bloomington, IL, on I-80 about 2 miles east of I-39, which I
assume you are using. The town is Peru, IL, but you will not go into town. It is an easy off and on exit from I-80. I always stop there when
heading north on I-39 to Wisconsin or west on I-80 to Iowa. Gas prices are always reasonable (Shell brand) and cheaper than the Chicago area.

Have a nice trip.

Scott, Gulf Shores State Park is closed. Alabama beaches are closed. Meaher State Park is open today, just off I-10, East of Mobile.
No telling about your time frame. Can possibly overnight you in our driveway. On Black List.
Gas stations open, restaurants are take out only. Wal-Marts are open. Eastern Shore Complex shut down. Overnight parking behind Cracker Barrel.

Thanks Tom.
This is really unbelievable!! We had a great spot in Topsail, and (still have) a primo pull through site in Gulf shores. Been drooling over this
vacation for the last 11 months.....if I can't get a Bushwacker at the Florabama, I don't think I want to go!!

Just an update here in Florida. Currently anyone coming to Florida from the NYC // NJ area will be quarantined for 14 days. Orange County, FL
(Orlando area) goes into stay in place order for at least the next 14 days, starting Thursday at mid-night.

Makes sense as one does not know if you have it or not during the early
stages.
I am servicing critical places on our air filter side so traveling around
the Bay Area.
Very little traffic.

Here in Oregon, things are beyond weird. City streets here in the Capitol
City are eerily quiet. No one out and about. No pedestrian traffic, or
bicycles, or autos. No homeless campers lying around in doorways, or in
tents on the sidewalks in the downtown core. But, the maintence boom trucks
are out servicing traffic signals as usual. As are the parking meter
patrols.
I had a blood test scheduled yesterday morning at the Salem Hospital
Cardiac Rehab center at 7:30 a.m. They called me on the phone, and
rescheduled for 9:30. When I arrived at the parking lot, they had a triage
setup going. Drive up, roll down your window, stick out your hand and a
health care worker in tyvek scrubs and down coats, (it's 40° outside) in
face masks approach your car, scrub your hands, perform the needle stick
test, and send you on your way. Faster than the drive thru coffee shops.
Someone called me on my cellphone a while later with results and reschedule
time for my next appointment. Kinda reminded me of a M.A.S.H. unit.
No bars, sit down restaurants, non essential businesses are open.
State parks as well as National Parks in the state are all closed. Gas
Stations are open, as are truck stops along the Interstate.
Then, there is COSTCO. WOW! Customers lined up around the building,
separated by state approved "social distance " of 6 feet. They only let 20
or 30 in the store at a time. Oregonians are too stupid to pump their own
gasoline, so they have a swarm of gas jockeys manning the fueling center.
Bizarre! Cherry trees in full bloom at the Capitol grounds, but no one is
out taking pictures.
Kinda glad to get back home. It's semi-normal here. Chores to do. GMC
stuff to take care of. Stay well folks.

I have a diagnostic range of 2.0 to 3.0. I was 2.8. All is good. That is a
range to determine how thin my blood is. When you take the blood thinner
that my cardiologist prefers for me to use, which is warfarin, it has to be
monitored regularly. Diet, exercise, alcohol intake, stress all affect the
score. Too thick, and blood platelets collect on the moving parts of my
mechanical heart valve. Too thin, and I can bleed profusely. So, it is a
constant, lifelong procedure. When I stay in range, they test every 6 weeks
or so. When I don't, they test weekly, or more frequently as required.
A spectre that constantly hangs around to remind me of my mortality.
But it serves me as incentive to get off my butt and maintain my daily
routine of proper diet, exercise, and staying within my set routine.
Regular hours for sleep and meals, taking my meds on time and not
forgetting to take them. Necessary Routine. Now part of my life.
Old age is not for the faint of heart, it seems.

Well, I do Bialogical Safty Cabnet Test and Certification and been busy
with that as well as educating faclity people on how to upgrade their
system.
Traffic is great , hardly any cars and few trucks.
Should we get stopped, I have all the tags and ID to validate my travel.
The grocery stores are congested.
Our toilet paper are the Jumbo rolls and will not fit the home unit.
No, Jumbo does no better if you have Big ass.
