I'm new here but I see a trend we are all responsible for . I used to
go to a little hardware store near my home and was able to dig in
corners for brass left hand threaded wing nuts or s/s pop rivets 4
inches long. Now he ain't there no more. I went to the Depot cause their
fertilizer was a little cheaper and softener salt was less money etc.
If we want these GMC supporters to still be around ten years from now,
we need to support them when possible, if they are out of line on prices
we need to approach them and give them a chance to keep our business.
Sometimes businessmen are stretched so thin they don't have time
research as much as we do. Perhaps there is some way we can help these
people make a profit and still benefit our group. Communication is the
key. If we have a bad experience with a vender, we must make an effort
to sit down sensibly and discuss a fair settlement. When all else fails,
then we can blast him.
Some of you people out there must know some of these suppliers
personally, and are able to communicate with them and explain the power
of this group of GMC owners, and how they could well profit by our
support. I don't like to see anyone go out of business, the more
competition out there, the more advantage for us.
