Last Friday around 7 PM, while driving on the north bound frontage road
beside I-5 just south of Gorman, CA., I came up on a GMC on the shoulder of
I-5. I stopped and the Owner, John (CRS keeps me from remembering his last
name) was standing beside it. He though there was a problem with the
distributor. When I offered assistance, he told me Miguel was on the way
and should be there shortly. We had a nice chat about GMC's and how to
remove their gas tanks. Seems he was on the way to join his son in an
archery competition. After about 30 minutes, I left him to eat
dinner. When I walked the dog about an hour later, there was no one at the
GMC. Saturday morning at 6 AM, the GMC was gone.

Miguel, I hope you got John on his way and it sounds like you came a long
way to get him going. It is nice to know there is someone that is willing
to go out of his way to help a GMC owner with a problem. Maybe you can
share the rest of the story with us.

James Moore is right, Miguel,I hope you tell us the rest of the story.
It is a challenge to diagnose a problem on the phone and then drive +/- 100 miles through Friday night traffic with all the proper parts and tools to repair a coach on the side of the highay in a remote area at night.

I hope I never get stranded, but if I do I sure hope there is some one like you who is able and wiling to help me out.

Thanks for your support.

Gene,
There are folks out there like what you described--on the Black List and all
over North America waiting on a phone call to jump into action.

Check it out, may save you some bucks and a lot of grief.

Look at what I saw on Raford road in Fayetteville NC this morning. I
could not find the owner this morning, but I will track him down to get
more info on this coach. You guys may have seen this coach before, it
sure was fun to see it this morning. I have talked to the owner before
as he also owns a unmodified Birchaven. He told me he had a second
coach, but I had no idea this is what he was talking about. Are there
any other photos of this coach around? I would love to see the inside.

If you read messages in an email program like Outlook, I've discovered a
quick, fairly painless way to splice the URLs back into something
usable.
Click on FORWARD in your mail program. That puts you into a mode where
you can edit the message. For me, one click of the DELETE key at the end
of the first line brings the whole thing back together.=20

The long urls for GMCMHPhotos almost always break, so try this:
http://snipurl.com/d58f The vehicle appears to be the answer to a
question on one asked. :evil:=20
Perhaps the owner can explain?

I did not get it yet, but I will. I could not find the owner while
taking the photos. It was parked there again this morning. I just did
not have time to stop. I will find more info on this coach.

I could not get the photos to come up when I clicked on the url. Can you check it and post it again. I sure would like to see that thing.

Thanks Steve,

VERY INTERESTING !!!

I am not sure now if I really wanted to see it.

But to customize, modernize, and improve these beautiful "Classic GMC's" is considered a work of art.

This I'm afraid to say, comes under the classification of "extreme overkill".

To each his own!

When all else fails, let a = 7. If that doesn't help, then read the manual.

I have looked a little more closely at these pictures and they seem pretty much photoshopped to me. They may have just been scanned and resized, but they sure are patchy and pixelated . . .

What's up with that, Richard??
