GMC sighting

Last Monday I passed a GMC with toad from WA. state doing about 40 mph about 1/2 way up the Eisenhower tunnel going EB. Anyone we know?

Hi all,

This morning as I was heading southbound on I-15 at about 8:45 a.m. I saw a yellow Glenbrook towing a "baja" syle VW toad going northbound. I could not make out a plate number.

Any idea who this might have been?

Saw a GMC, basically yellow for main body color, towing a Suzuki 2 dr Sidekick, heading east on I-10. Located in Mobile, about 1030 CDT. He was pushing the iron.

Last Wednesday I saw my first ever GMC (other than my own) in Plumas County. It was on the asphalt Forest Service road between Antelope Lake and Beckwourth, Ca. It was 26' blue and gray/silver and towing a jet ski and headed up the mountain toward the lake..

On Monday afternoon there was a Palm Beach with Alcoas parked next to America's Tire Store at US 99 and Skyway in Chico,CA. It had Cal. plates and a Pacific Cruisers lic plate frame. No one was around. It was still there an hour later when I left the area.

Any one on the net know these coaches?

At Camper Corral, Sebring, Florida, on RT. 27, a fairly recently renovated
yellow and black GMC motorhome was spotted this evening. The black diagonal
paint on the upper body indicates a fairly recent repaint, as this is
apparently becoming a popular update for those who want to modernize the look of the
classic GMC.
No idea to whom his coach belongs, nor the sale particulars....

A VERY hot-looking clean white 26' with a huge, custom dark red V-
shaped stripe flying up from the front windows to the back. Might
have had some goldish trim on the rear wheel cover -- it was dark and
hard to tell. But the paint was shiny and new, and the coach was
gorgeous.

It was northbound on I-5 around Kelso, WA around 6:30 pm last night
(Wednesday).

Wow. Who's the lucky owner of that one?

Nope. Dan's coach is pretty, but it's not the one we saw. The wedge/V
graphic on this one was large and swooping, rising from the front and
spreading to the full height of the coach toward the rear. It didn't
follow the beltline at all. And the red was a dark cherry.

But thanks for playing!

Hi Larry

Why are you sitting over there in the snow and not here at the rally?
Better question is why did you move away from this beautiful area.

No other motorhomes at the rally that have red on them.

Gene & Diana Ewankiw are here with their newly finished coach (well
almost finished) and it is the nicest that I have seen, I have posted
some pictures of the exterior at
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/gallery/showalbum.php?aid=1285&uuid=thistle
Note the custom grill and headlights and the rear-end treatment not to
mention the classy paint job. Wish the lighting was better for the
pictures. The interior is even nicer then the exterior with large use
of Stainless steel for many wall panels and cabinets. It is to die for.
Even the Dash is incredible and I am not to proud to do some
plagiarizing.

This is from a man with a rig that most of us would say the same thing about.

Must be something special!

Dan,

The front and rear are certainly nice -- very subtle modernization. But the
paint accents just don't float my boat. I'll have to see the interior with
my own eyes to be convinced it's nicer than yours.

Dan,
Who did Gene's grille? Can you shoot it in the daylight hours? It looks good in the dark.

Hi Dan,

Hey those are great photos. Sorry we couldn't make the Cascaders Rally but
it was just too much for the week. Got home with the GMC late on Monday
after a trip to Ashland for Thanksgiving. On the way down we had a bit of =
a
problem just north of Eugene right at the off ramp for the Marathon factory=
.
The engine went dead and we made a quick exit. At first I thought it was
the distributor module and changed it out but no luck. Then a pulled the
fuel line to the fuel pump and no gas. We had made a quick stop as the res=
t
stop north of Springfield and I now know that when your are low in gas that
the transfer to the front tank is a real thing. The real tank went bone dr=
y
and yet the gas gage still said I had fuel. Anyway, we found the problem
and put 46.5 gallons in the tank and were on our way after two hours of
research. About the time I was pumping the gas a recalled your comment on
the new a few week back about the main gas tank. Great recall, but a bit
late. From now on, I will fill the tank before I get down to the last 12
gallons or so.

Why did Larry leave Oak Harbor anyway? That Idaho Snow must be something
sweet for him to do that.
