I neglected to mention that the Iomega zip disks were taken as well as
the drive.

Dave,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Hope you get back up again real soon. When
it comes to CD-R or CD-RW use the faster is better philosophy. For about
$299 on sale you can get a 8x or even 12x (for a bit more) and will save you
TONS of time. Sometimes faster really is better!

Good suggestion, Gene! I willhave to decide what to buy to replace my
Toshiba note book. A CD with read and write would be a good feature to
have. Any suggestions on what equipment I should consider will be
appreciated.

Thanks Nate for the input and thanks to all of you who have responded so
far with your inputs. I am getting 3-4 per day so far and I know when
folks get back home from the holidays it will increase even more.

I am starting to gain confidence that I can resurrect the Registry data
and promise to make it more secure.

I am still talking to the insurance company over the deductible the
office carries versus the loss. I appreciate the thread on helping out on
purchasing a replacement computer or a CD Writer but at this point I am
hoping I work at least a replacement notebook computer with our carrier.
