Looking at the possibility of purchasing a 1975 23 footer and have a few
basic questions which I was hoping some of you could answer.
First off, what are the approximate weights (wet or dry) of the 23' and
26' models?? I know the GVWR is somewhere around 10,500 lbs for either
model. Just trying to figure out the realistic carrying capacity of
these things.
Secondly, what is the typical fuel consumption of the GMC?? I realize a
lot has to do with the particular driving style and terrain
involved...and also engine size. Guess I'm just looking for some points
of reference.
Thirdly, do I read correctly that there were, in fact, only thirty six
(36) 23 footers manufactured in 1975 (info from gmcmotorhome.com)??
Seems a little on the low side compared to the other years. Why might
this be??
