Claude... you almost have it. Must have long alligator clips to connect
up, Have youself fastened so you will not fall into the engine
compartment. Then I think you have it.

Now Gene , I'm trying to picture how this works. Your are going down the
highway, and you get, if you are lucky, your better half to be in the
drivers seat. You then open up the engine hatch and with all that heat
and hot air and noise blowing in your face, you reach down to the exaust
pipes with your digital voltmeter and try to grasp onto an electrical
point without burning yourself. Hopefully the road is straight without
curves or bumps. Likely you should have a hat on,so when the engine
hatch falls on your head, the bald spot doesn't get bruised too much.
And likely you should hae a few band aids and burn ointment handy in
case you touch the exaust pipe in the process. yes I get the picture
perfectly!!

Is that how you take the O2 readings. I guess I can eliminate the pesky
wires I ran from the O2 sensor to the bottom of the dash and the two
"banana" jacks I put there to connect the digital VOM to the wires. I would
much rather hit my bald spot...Though, I do have two gas struts to install
to hold the hatch up. I can return them for credit!
