GMC Nor'easter Vern Goddard

Just received the news that Vern Goddard passed away. Until recently he and his wonderful wife Carol would attend our largest annual rally at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA in Special K, their 1977 Kingsley which they owned since it was new. Vern was known as the fire master at our Normandy Farms rallies and will be greatly missed.

Vern was a great guy. At the 2012 Normandy Farms Nor'easters rally he told me that he bought his GMC new, never ran across another GMC in the wild, and knew nothing about the GMC community. He was driving around and saw a GMC at a gas station and made a quick turn to go talk to the owners. Vern asked Bill & Pat Kittredge where they were going and they told him they were on their way to a rally. "There are GMC rallies?!?!" A couple or three years later and he's President of the Nor'easters.
