Sorry for this temporary intrusion.

I just gotta let all the lurkers know about all the really nice GMCs on the
market right now. Especially the one I just now posted. A very nice, much
sought after 1978 Royale Center Kitchen.

See the current offerings and check back often at:

Now back to your regularly unscheduled GMCnet chatter.

Fitted with a Turd (454) or is that a misprint? Pass if it's true.

It is a Chevy 454....but looks like neat conversion and surely it's a lot easier to get parts for those over our better but rarer Olds?

A lot of older coaches with the chev engine make it ito the 70K or so and that's the end of the engine. The Olds will go a lot longer with less
trouble. Colie can 'splain why this is.

Back "when", I had several motorhomes with 454's. It was common knowledge
that dealers wanted "nothing to do" with any of them with >50,000 miles --
just too troublesome. I guess I was always lucky: I never had a basic
engine problem -- nor a coach with many more than 50,000 miles. The worst
problem I had with them was that they went through spark plug wires like I
go through a plate of spaghetti!
