Hi "Netter's"
Bear with me as I plug the Registry with an updated letter appealing for
inputs.
Somehow, my Win 98 crashed and when I reloaded, everything in my Juno
files was gone, including about 600 eMail addresses!
Thanks. As new notes come in I will be able to recover the eMail
addresses.
Reagrds,
Dave
If your classic coach hasn't been registered or you aren't certain, send
the TZE number (VIN) and model to me via eMail or snail mail and I'll
check it out. I'll need your address, including the zip and area codes
and any previous owner history, if you know.
For a handy form go to www.songtek.com/gmcss/registry.htm Enjoy our GMC
Sunshine Statesmen Club web site while you are there.
The Registry was founded in 1993 and the goal is to see where all the
GMCs have gone. Of the 12,921 produced between 1973 and 1978, we want to
know, A. How many are still alive and well and, B. Where in the world are
they?
If you know of any that have been parted out, used to make a stretch
coach or otherwise destroyed and IF you know the TZE number. send it in
so I can account for missing coaches as well.
If, like some lucky families, your family has more than one GMC send the
info into the Registry.
If you know of any that are being used in business or as ambulances,
crime scene detection units, radio or TV broadcast studios, mobile blood
banks, or as chicken coops, send in the TZE number, model and usage.
The Registry info includes, TZE, Model, Owner's name and address, and any
known prior owner history.
We are presently at over 3,600 GMCs in the Registry and growing at a rate
of 4-5 per day thanks to the GMCnet, the GMC clubs around the USA, the
various web sites and lots of help from folks like ya'all (as we say in
southern Florida)
By way of introduction, I am on my second GMC Palm Beach having purchased
one new in 1975. My current coach, a 1977, has over 570,000 miles on with
290,000 on its second engine. I am on the Board of Directors for the GMC
Sunshine Statesmen and a member of the Governing Board of Family Motor
Coaching association (FMCA)
