Yes you are correct....replacement of a timing chain is no big deal. I
just did it for a friend & found that the chain came with the gaskets
that are needed. The Maintenance Manual does a good job of describing
"How To". However, it is easier to place Jack under Engine block to
raise front about 1/4" to clear/remove the motor mount. Also, don't try
to remove the two guide pins as stated in Manual. Just chamfer the lower
portion of the pins while in place. This helps install the Timing Chain
Cover by wedging downward to compress the front Pan gasket. Put a lot of
silicon gasket sealer at end of front pan gasket to prevent an oil leak.
Peace of Cake. Don't forget to reset the Ignition timing (my job timing
changed 10 degrees with new chain, etc.).
