All,

I've gotten a couple of concerned responses to my prior post on Rayne on the
"facilities" there.

Well, actually I didn't see anything different as far as services go
from Forest City. I believe the lady I talked to said the RV park could
handle over 500 RV's. Part of the problem in describing the site is that we
saw it after dark. It's adjacent to their city park and there were walking
paths. Humm, from that standpoint, it's probably better than Forest City.
The city was 'started' by a trio of Parisians who began an export
business shipping (as the city brochure says) "our hoppy residents" to
restaurants across the country. The City celebrates the Frog Festival on
Labor Day. You might check their Web site at www.rayne.org.
Anyone going to a GMC Convention would, I'm sure, enjoy it and March in
Louisiana is Spring time. I didn't mean to have anyone take my comments as
negative. I was just expecting a daily operating facility for RV camping.
This was like Forest city Winnebago campgrounds. When there's no group
there, it looks 'bare' and, in my case, 'dark' : )
