Dick 75 PB in Atlanta

>Darren Paget
>The present gasoline fuel that is available causes our engine to run
>lean/hot with the jet size provide back in the 70s (fuel was much better
>then). I have a 455 with Quad jet carburetor that has been modified
>(myself) from 70 to 72 primary jet size to better my exhaust emission.
>Results is satisfactory Air to Fuel ratio. Have not gone to the expense
>of a 5 gas analyzer to verify total results. I am satisfied with my
>engine performance with 72 jet & did not see any significant difference
>at the Pump. If desired Cinnabar has an exchange carburetor available
>(exchange basis) that has been optimized for today's fuel. A bit pricey,
>but the best answer available. The OEM 403 carburetor gives an even more
>lean/hot condition with today's fuel.
