I had installed Brake Guard on my coach and Alex Sirum (my tried and true
mechanical advisor) suggested I get rid of it as it doesn't (in his
opinion work) so, I did. I still have a pair of units, hardly used, if
anyone wants to buy them for 1/3 of the original price.

I don't know if this is myth or not but I cofess I didn't notice any
pulsating effect when I braked but maybe it is subtle.

I don't intend to start a verbal battle on whether this system works or
not, but I have been happy with Alex's advice to date.

Thomas:

It is a device in the shape of a small cylinder approximately 2" in diameter
and 3" tall that is plumbed into each brake line circuit, generally at the
master cylinder ports.

Five or six years back, the manufacturer advertised them as providing
anti-lock brake characteristics. Ultimately, the government made them stop
the false advertisement. That aspect is detailed in two issues of Consumer
Reports that I'm aware of and can get the references for at home if you
need.

Apparently the device is now considered an accumulator. Duane says he's had
good results from them.
