Jim White brings up a good question for all of us lookers (or lurkers, as
the case may be). Which of the various model names we see mentioned were
GMC finished vs other companies, such as Midas and Coachmen. It would be a
great piece of info to have.

Also, Jim, you should be sure to read the FAQ at
http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/. Lots of good info there and many helpful
links.

Best of luck from a fellow looker (aka Wannabe Newby)

Someone out there correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm perty sure that at
http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/faq/GMC23Interior.html , the 23' Coachman
models are Birchavens and the 26' are Royals. I've seen one 23 footer here
in town finished by Crestmont that's the spittin image of the 2nd Midas
interior shown. I know for a fact that the Royal's are nicely finished
coaches. I don't know that I've ever seen the inside of a Birchaven though.

I had an opportunity to visit the inside of an Avion finished GMC and can
report that they are among the nicest I've seen. That's the only one I
might consider owning, other than the one I've got.

I know this don't help much, but it's all I got for now.

I'll take a stab at it:

Painted Desert Seqouia CanyonLands
Glacier Palm Beach Kingsley
Eleganza SE Eleganza II Edgemonte
Glenbrook

All of the above plus all Transmodes and 50 Coca Colas and 5 GadAbouts
were finished by GM Truck and Coach.

Royale and Birchaven were finished by Coachmen Industries

Other models finshed by various firms include:

Reddi Kamp Landau Midas
Crestmont Roll-A-Long Avion
Belmont Hughes LRP
Eldorado Foretravel Norris

Eleganza II's were the most popular (2,247) followed by Royales, (2,190)
