Not always. In my younger days, I built a Chevy 327/365HP & showed many a
396, 409, 413, Hemi, etc. that there WAS a substitute & a much better one,
at that. Ahhh-the days of good Ethyl gas....

I had a 66 VW Bug that I had invested way too much time and money on. It
could pull wheelies away from stop lights and no matter how stiff a
spring/shock set up I put in, I could sit the back end on the ground. It was
grossly overpowered and a heck of a lot of fun. I embarrassed a lot of V8's
with that thing, but I know darn well if I did all the tricks on a 455 that
I did on that VW it would have gone into orbit!

You can massage anything, but if you want a really big bang, massage
something BIG.

Just thinking about this stuff makes me smile!
