Something I would like to see...
A map showing the locations of the GMC's in North America. IE CANADA
and the USA.
This would be a kind of mirror image of the Black List and be just for
fun. No names, just locations.
Some might find the dark side, (stealing or damage to coaches) but I do
not think this is an issue!
Anybody following this list knows where participants are located. This
would be compiled by owners providing their location. Someone could make
up rules if needed. (Names, no names etc.)
Dave G. might be a great source. I would take on this task, but do not
have the computer skills to know where to start and how to do it, how to
make a map, etc.
Just a currious thought!
Regards, Gil

Hi Gil,

This would be a bit of work. There are over 4,000 GMCs in the Registry,
mostly in Canada and the USA. I don'y know how we could put this together
and wonder what one would do with it if this were accomplished. It would
be like putting pins in a map. The only thing you might gain is to
realize that most of the GMCs are in California and Florida with the rest
in the other 47 states and the Canadian provinces.

Any other thoughts?

I would be curious to know how many are around Chicago.

When I first started the Black List, this idea came up and I toyed with it
for a while. Placed all those on the list onto a map from Tripmaker. Ended
up having stuff on top of stuff, totally unusable. Would be glad to do it
if consensus is there AND suggestions on who, what, where, and how. Someone
suggested having a map with 100 mile overlays due to towing insurance is
usually for 100 miles no additional charge. That way, one with problems
could get towed to a place where another GMC'er lived and could possibly
help out with mechanics, etc. Good idea I thought, but there is a lot of
space in the US and Canada where there are no GMC'ers on the Black List.
Quite a few states still have none, Canadian Provinces also.

Ideas?

Richard:

Do you belong to GMCMI????? They publish a member directory which lists
members in alphabetical order both by last name plus within each state and
province by city.
