I would appreciate hearing from any one who knows of a source for lug
nuts that will fit the GMC OEM wheels but are taller from the base to
crown by about 1/4 inch. The OEM nut is 7/8 inch tall and fits a 9/16
inch diameter stud with fine threads. The new nut would have to have an
equivalent or better base and shoulder design to retain the holding
strengh of the orgingal design. Why am I looking for such a lug nut you
might ask? I've got this idea for mounting a pick up truck hub cap on
the OEM wheel which might work if I can find such a lug nut. Thanks in
advance for any help on this quest.
