As relayed by Jim Kanomata:

"Here are the results of the donations and drawings for the Land Speed
Record and CTMA donations.

The Community came up with a total of $12,000.00.

The three winners of the drawing for $3,000 worth of GMC products from
Applied GMC are:

Miguel Mendez

Tom Brewer

Thomas Tesene

Britt Palmer will relay the check to CMTA for us."

Thank you for everyone's participation. It is very much appreciated.

Maybe it has been written before, but was the official high speed of a
regular (if such thing ever existed) 26' GMC MotorHome?

Wind drag is tremendous at higher speed. It goes up exponetially.
The last run we did was with the front spoiler and side skirts off, but the
trans failed, so we could not determine the effect.
I will be consulting with my close friend that has a good handle on
practical aerodynamics which he does regularly. At my University, we did
all theory and solved problems that was not very useful, like setting up
formula for describing flow of water going down a sink.
