How about getting Joe Mondello to sponsor us with his 750HP 455 engine?
Remember with the Born Free they removed the cabinets, and added a roll bar.
It was not fully equipped. for the crapper we could add the thermsan system
and as we go thru the traps hit the release into the exhaust manifold and
change everything to brown. We could than claim the crapper dump speed
record also! We need to get Sterling Moss out of retirement to drive it.

>I have been giving it some thought and I think we are headed in the wrong
direction. In stead of larger engines with aluminum heads and high lift cams
we should try to lighten the load. Removal of the holding tank and
substitution of a trap door like the old railroad cars would save at least
300 lbs. And removal of the rear gas tank would take care of another 250lbs
(hard to fill anyway).

> All kidding aside, A while back one of the camper outfits was bragging
about thier class C that did 97 MPH at Bonneville. What a crock of #$%*.
I've had my stock GMC to 85 on I5. Seems to me that we need to form up a GMC
racing club and accept this chalange. What do ya say Guys?? Might be our
last chance to get our finger in the record books. Only requirement is that
someone has to be sitting on the crapper when we go through the lights!!

Those folks sure did spend a lot of money to beat a record set by a stock
GMC ready to hit the highways. Maybe a good project for a junk 23 footer
stripped and race ready with parachute and an emergency anchor to throw out
just in case.

Might have to change what I am looking for, eh?
