I have been reading the interior re-modeling ideas the last two days and
your thinking about taking the bath & wardrobe modules out of your GMC so
that you can put laminate on them. If that is your only reason for re-moving
them I would strongly suggest that you seriously RE-THINK that idea.
Having spent two years completely re-doing my coach (I was working full time
as a master trim carpenter for a Theme-restaurant builder) and having
re-furbished several GMC's it just is not necessary to re-move these
modules. The bathroom panels can be removed by taking out the screws,
removing the panels and re-finishing them. The wardrobe module may come
apart, I dont know, I am sure it will but how do you get it back together?
I re-finished .that module itself as a unit. There a two metal angle
brackets at the top and several wood blocks under the false floor. I then
tipped this module so that the top of the wardrobe module rested against
the bath module, which allowed tme to apply laminate and trim it with a
laminate router. Did not attempt to laminate the very small radius corners
and I simply eliminated them.
