Ted-
I know that some keep their big and long original jack, but it is large
and heavy and clumsy. What will work very nicely, both if on the road
somewhere and at home in the shop-- Have two small 6 ton bottle jacks
and with them you will be able to jack any thing front or rear or both
sides etc.
If you get ones which are low, they will fit under the central support
between the rear wheels. In the event that you had a flat tire when on
the road , if you have several blocks of wood with you, drive a wheel up
onto the wood and this raises the vehicle sufficently to get the jack
under. I find that i use these jacks around the shop all the time, the
original is gathering dust somewhere but I wouldn't be with out the
small bottle ones
