The GMC Great Lakers held a rally only 14 miles from Gilbert's last
weekend, so I figured I'd better attend. 54 coaches were there, plus a
couple of SOB's. Among the 7 "first rally attendees" were myself,
Richard Waters, and Dave Campbell of the GMCnet. Also met other 'netters
like J.R. Wright and some Lurkers. (You know who you are!) My first
impression was its more like a family reunion than a bunch of RV
enthusiasts. Great group of folks, just like everyone I've ever met in
the GMC community. (Then again, I haven't met all of you 'netters yet)

Since I really haven't had an overwhelming response to my webpage offer
as of yet, I invited the gang to Gilbert's after the rally. I can now
say I have had an overwhelming response to my webpage offer. ;-)

It was really great seeing all the beautiful coaches, (Dave Campbell's,
whew!) exchanging ideas, asking questions of folks that had answers, and
telling tales of Wes and Clarence.
Some of the guys thought the side gills on my little Bimmer would be
perfect for engine compartment vents, but I declined to fork them over.
Maybe this could be a new TZE Plus product, eh Darren?

I've put a few pics of Gilbert's parking lot swarming with GMC's on page
2 of my webpage below.

Ya sure, keep rubbin' it in Tim. You jump on the scene with your free steak
offer a few days AFTER I leave Jackson where Dege & I had been visiting our
friends the Gallas' over on Higby St. So we call 'em and they say "You bet.
We've eaten there several times. It's probably the best steak house in the
area".

Since it's very unlikely we'll get back that far east again, do you
deliver? I didn't think so.

I'm going to poor myself another brandy and go to bed. :,-(

Tim,
You already met me!!! Was hoping to stop by this first week in August
since The PGII (Pyrotechnic Guild International, Inc.) was going to have our
yearly convention in Muskegon, Mich. but due to the politics they didn't get
the needed permits. It's going back to Fargo again this year like last
(closer for me in "The Big O") so I'm a happy camper (sorry). One of these
days I'll make it to visit. God, I love prime rib (even better w/the bone
in). I do it alot at home myself and I get alot of rave reviews.
BTW, love your new toy! I have a 2001 PT Cruiser on order and should see
it about July or so.
