I happened to talk to Lamey Enterprises in Upland, CA yesterday about
some service work I need done, and was told they have a customer who,
because of poor health, has a unit for sale.

Call 'em up at (909) 982-7747 for any details.

Also another one on eBay with starting bid @ $10k, 8 days left, reserve not
yet met. Located in Wisconsin. Pix look awfully nice. Might be worth checking
out:

This won't be of a great deal of help, but during a day trip yesterday I
saw a GMC coach with a "For Sale" sign in it. It was on the other side
of a divided highway, and I couldn't get anything better than a
drive-by-at-70 look. The unit is in Colorado, on Highway 34, about 4-5
miles east of I-25. The I-25/Highway 34 intersection is where the
factory outlet stores are located. The unit is parked just off the
westbound lanes, in front of a place with at least a small acreage. It
appears to be original cream colored paint (a little faded or perhaps
covered with dust from the nearby traffic). Being relatively new to the
world of GMC, I couldn't spot any other distinguishing features.
Perhaps someone closer may have already reported on this unit, or might
have more info. FWIW, it was a rural area, but might have a Greeley or
Loveland mailing address.

You are going to have to get better---- you have to be able to read the
TZE, FMCA, and license state at 80 MPH in your rear view mirror going the
opposite direction on a dark night to make it in this group.!!!! ;>)

You've got yhat right, Gene! See my note about bar coding these beauties!

The Registry is at 4,042 coaches as we speak.....if everyone on the Net
sends in one (new) TZE number and all the other stuff along with it we
would be half way to the 5,000 mark!

1978 GMC Royale 35,000 on engine, new oak floor carpet and front seats,
TV/VCR, micro, awnings both sides, manuals, records, replaced refrig.,

Dave asked me to find out about the coach in Albuquerque. If anyone is
interested it does have an interesting ceiling. Almost like stucco, but
lighweight according to the owner.

Identity of the home is a 1977 Royale, with about 100K miles. It has a
dry bath, center kitchen and the back can be made into two twin beds,
although now it is a queen bed. The owner is Rocky Drebber. Ed Osburn
has the info of what has been done and has the history. New hot water
heater, brakes were done all six, everything works, gen works, tires are
micheln, and built in TV in back. According to Rocky, Ed had it in
storage as the wife of the previous owner died and then rocky bought it
in 1995 or so He can be reached at 505-864-0682. TZE number 367v101742.
He is the third owner and want $18,500 for it. Looks and runs good
according to him. He even told me it has been in the lot for months and
the bags are still up.... no leaks. I anyone is interested in buying this
please call rocky.

says it runs great and his last trip was to florida and back getting over
10 mpg. He bought a new boat and decided he needed a fifth wheel.
Interesting character, retired from the Army and this is his third GMC.
Had one in 1973 and another one later on.

Al,
You are so right about Rocky. He is an interesting character. I met him and
the "Margureteville Express" at Poncho Villa State Park, NM. two years ago.
He traveled with a large dog named Bruno (I believe) and our GMCs were a
strange juxtaposition with the cactus scenery on the Mexican border that cold
November night. My Transmode was coughing black soot then and Rocky shared
his experiences and theories with me on what to do for a fix. I'm sorry to
hear he is not going to be touring in the Margureteville Express anymore.
