Spotted a gent with TWO -2- GMC's... He wishes to sell one! One is a
73 and the other is a 78. He is asking $15K for the 78 and less for
the 73. Both are clean outside with the 78 being clean inside also.

The ebay auction, www.ebay.com, has a 1975 GMC with 65,000 original miles up
for auction and the current bid is $10,200.

The photo look pretty good, but they claim it has a 460 engine. The seller
is in eastern Pennsylvania and the auction will close on 6-21-99 at 10:05
PDT. Who has enough courage to bid sight unseen?

Troops......A real clean 1976 23' Birchaven sitting in a vacant lot in
Coos Bay Oregon. 455, 300 miles on rebuild, nice, fresh paint job. Fresh
upholstery and beautiful cabinet work. This I got off the sign and by
peeking through the windows. $14,700. I don't know any more. Telephone 415

Troops........I blew it on the GMC I told you about yesterday. I transposed
the area code To those of you that wasted a phone call, I apologize. The
correct phone number is 541 267-2348. I telephoned the people, and it
seems that that have two 1976 Birchavens and they want to sell one. It's
sitting in a vacant lot in Coos Bay Oregon and has a 455 with 300 miles on
a fresh engine. It has a fresh paint job, new upholstery and beautiful oak
cabinet work. They have reduced the price to $14,700. It looks
nice........Jim Davis on the hot (68 degree) Oregon Coast

This coach caught my attention, too. I agree with Jim, it looks real nice.
The interior has been completely redone with light oak cabinets and walls, tv
and vcr built in.. It is a rear bath (with tub) 23' model. Roof air with pod,
4kw genset, steel wheels with nice covers. 65K miles with 300 on new 455
engine. If anyone out there is serious, I would be happy to "bee your eyes".

Troops.....Don't ask me any questions on this, because I don't have the
answers. The people with the GMC for sale here in Coos Bay have now raised
the price to $18,500 which was their original price.. To make things even
more confusing, they now have their other GMC sitting next to it which is
also for sale. They're asking $22,000 for the second one. Both are
extremely clean inside and out. Gary Miller says that he'd be more than
happy to be your eyes and ears on these if you're interested in them. I'm
going into Coos Bay on Sunday morning and I can shoot a few pictures of
them with the digital camera .....Jim Davis on the Oregon Coast

NO - It's NOT mine.

Saw this in a local paper tonight:

1976 Eleganza II, good mecahnical condition, new transmission, many extras,
must sell, reduced price. (831) 475-6578

I called and spoke to the owner. Her husband recently died and she is
selling the coach. She says it's well maintained, but I haven't seen it.

Her asking price is $12k - located in the Santa Cruz California area.

1973 was the first year. He made a error when he posted for sale.
I copied exactly what he had in his ad.

Hi folks...

Yesterday, on a short roundtrip Houston-Austin, Tx, we saw a coach on
consignment at a RV Sales/Rental place in Bastrop (on Hwy 71). Don't
know if this one has been posted anywhere else, but since we had a
chance to look-see, thought it might be beneficial to give ya'll a live
report:

1973 GMC 26' - Blue outside color with darker blue side line
TZE 033V101911 - 8/73 (for you, Dave G.!)
Arizona license plates
74k miles - 455**
one AC - antennae- no pod
standard steel wheels/tires
coach sitting level (but wasn't able to check out condition of the bags
much; did see it was all stock equipment)
Inside: clean condition - sign on window says "all original", but the
headliner sure looks new - side wet bath, back double bed - blue
upholstery , in good shape.
Owner is asking $16,900 - person at the RV place wasn't much help in
getting more info on the background of this coach...other than it was on
consignment and the price reportedly is not firm (read: negotiable)

** Now here's the kicker: the engine has been converted to run on
propane -only- and the engine cover inside has a 2" or so raised section
to accomodate this conversion; generator still runs on gasoline.

Unit is on site, on consignment, at

We took some pics with the digital, so if you want an e-copy, send a
note -- also, we have no interest in the sale of this coach...just
passing on info..
