I talked to Hersa at Blueridge and told him that some other GMC owners
might be interested. Ball park for what I had done he said would be 3
to 3200 complete. He cut me a break because he had my coach for so
long. I am going to have him do two more engines for me to put in the
other coaches. He will get some from the local salvage yards and do the
work before I come down so that it will be a swap in and out. He said
he is usually slow during Dec. & Jan. and that he would do them then.
Let me know if any of you are interested and we might be able to work a
better price since after doing some he could figure out the best and
least cost ways to do the job. As with anything - volume and repeat
jobs make things go easier.
One way to keep costs low would be if the owner preped the inside of the
coach - cleaned it out and covered everything so that they did not have
to worry about getting things dirty and then clean them up.
Any thoughts on this?
