I am not sure what my coach is worth to another person. And, I have
been told that if they had some of the things happen to them that
happened to me they would walk away and leave it.
I suppose it is like an antique car or hot rod or any other tangible
item (toy) we have that keeps us happy. The price of the thing is like
a trip, planning and getting there are two big parts of even going. I
go to lots of Truck shows and in my wildest of dreams would like to win
at least something. But I do not have the work accomplished by
- ---------- and I do not buy all my parts from SO CAL or F-100 Limited
etc. So I know in my own heart I will never ever win that big trophy
best in the event or any other thing. Do I support all the runs, you
bet. I think having a GMC is sort of like that. If it makes you happy
that is all that counts. If we did not have other GMC people who liked
the same thing, we probably wouldn't have one. But because there is
something in each of us that has that same feeling, desire or what ever
it is, our GMC or other things we have been able to acquire in life are
pure treasures to us. I know when I got mine back in 89 I thought it to
be the best thing since I got married. (My wife thinks I love it more
than her) Or when we rode Harley's same thing. But to put a price tag
on it is another thing. If mine was hit or destroyed by fire or some
other catastrophe I would not only feel bad I think I would loose a
great deal of money. I have mine insured for 40 thousand dollars. That
would not come close to what has been done to it either. Could I sell
it for that. Well first of all. Do I want to? No, have I been offered
by anybody to buy it. You bet. Every time I stop for gas. People want
to look at it. It is like my old F-100 PU. The big window draws
awesome eyes and so does the little window. Would I sell them, I do not
know. If I got tired of them maybe I could consider selling one or the
other. But then I would have to keep it in the family I have a couple
of nephews that think they are the cats meow. And, both has said if you
ever, decide to get rid of one, let them,, Please let them be the first
to know. Your friend in Lompoc, Chuck
