Isn't anyone using their coaches on this Holiday Season? No extra bedrooms
for visiting family? No "snowbird" activity? How about Quartzite? Just
curious about the lack of postings.

Yes, I have been wondering the same thing. We have made our way west from
MO and are presently visiting GMC friends in Phoenix. Spent two days in
Quartzite....will be heading to Ventura County soon.

I have always heard about Quartzite camping and "the big tent" where you
literally buy anything from bear skin rugs to RV parts. Never been there
YET. On my list.
Randy and Margie, if you get to Oregon, be sure to look us up.

Our granddaughter, her husband, and "Bean" (Boston terrier) spent night
before last in "Tweety Bird". That's the first time it's been "used" since
0ctober 2019. :-(

Well, we have a house full of family and the overflow is occupying the GMC for a few more days. It’s about the only time the motorhome has been used for over a year. However in visiting a local park here in Orlando yesterday we found a nice campground that we plan to visit in the next few weeks.

Ken,
I sure hope that you get to travel in "Tweety Bird" in 2022. Your presence was sure missed last fall in Wisconsin.

My coach is stored and it is cold here in MN.

I know many are not on Facebook, but I did see many people posting nice photos of their coaches full of gifts. Covered in lights in a parade.
Probably a dozen holiday photos. One owner in wisconsin posted about his winter drive and how the snow on the roof reacted
To the travels.

See some people using coaches in south.

I just put together my shopping list i need to buy before spring thaw. Some air system changes and seelevel gauges.

Deep snow and unseasonably cold on Vancouver Island. Managed to gas her up and fill the propane tanks before the storm hit but hunkered down ATM.
Spent Xmas sourcing out a few parts for ol'Leaky and my "new" old boat.

there's always next week, right?

Good, I am gratified that several of us are using our coaches. We did a 308
mile 1 way jaunt to Anacortes, Washington for a GMC CASCADERS Christmas
rally the first week end in December. Coach RAN well, but speedometer quit
on the way home. Cable? Perhaps. Might be the gear reduction box for the
final drive. Might be the Instrument itself. When it warms up a bit (Snow
on the ground, and temps in the 30° range)

Chaumière is still in her place next to the barn, but I have finally done the fall services for both cars and made the lawn tractor into a snow
remover. Now that is done only a few more tasks before she comes into here heated winter home.

Apart from a regular long list of annual maintenance, she is getting fit with a pair of electric fuel pumps underneath and the required controls, and
a the same time, a massive rework of the failing suspension air that will include a new Viair 485 and a MicroLevel control. I will have some spare
valves when I am done with that.

I actually still have some repairs to make that were damage done by the trip into the median in South Carolina. That is all cosmetic, but it still
needs to be done so she doesn't feel bad.

At this time, the spring international is still in the plan. I would like to travel enough in the next year to need to change the oil.

Happy New Year to all

Yes, French names are such fun ..I considered "O quel cul t'as" (O Calcutta) and "Piss-en-lit" (dandelion) but settled on plain English "Ol'Leaky" -
very similar to "piss-en-lit" if ya think about it, eh?. :p

We left Wisconsin yesterday headed for Florida where we willl camp in daughter's back yard for a while. Then several SS rallys, visit sisters,
brother, nephews, and friends around Florida and then on to GMCMI rally in Patterson. Our travel plan is "no plan". Go somewhere for a while (friends
relatives) then look at the map. See a place we haven't been and go there for a while. After a few days, look at the map again for another place. Go
there. Sometimes it is 40 miles, sometimes 100miles. The plan is no plan. WHAT A LIFE! Gotta love it. Will be home sometime after the snow is gone.
Whenever that is.

Larry,

Y'All need to make Americus one of those "no plans". We're about 300 yards
west of US-19, which is 4-lane thru Georgia with virtually no traffic 30
miles west of bumper-to-bumper I-75. A good alternative to I-65 half way
south thru Alabama. We've got full hookups available. And you can go to
Jimmy Carter's Sunday School Class only 11 miles away! :-)

Take care.

If you are still in Central AZ this coming weekend, come on down to Casa Grande and join the Jetsetters at Pinal County Fairgrounds for our January
Bluegrass Festival Rally, Jan 6 - 9.
