I just had someone looking at my 76 Palm Beach and I mentioned to them
that I was going to be getting rid of my old chrome rims and upgrading
to Alcoa Aluminum rims. They told me not to do it because they have
heard that a lot of people have had problems keeping a good seal once
the rims get a little corrosion from age. Any truth to this??? I have
had the old rims on for 20 years with no problems with air leaks. (But I
can't keep the rust from attacking the finish) What type of maintenance
is needed with the Alcoa's??
Thanks
