I went to my local GMC dealership the other day and ordered the GMC1500
emblem that goes on the lower door trim on the GMC trucks. The cost is
$23.21 plus tax, total $24.61. Use a sharp knife or in my case a plastic
cutting blade in my jig saw and seperate the GMC from the 1500. You now
have a GMC emblem that will fit perfectly in the indentation on the glove
box. Oh, yes, I forgot, you have to cut the plastic prongs off the back side
of the emblem. Secure it to the glove box with an adhesive. It looks real
nice with the solid oak T.V., DSS receiver, cabinet/console with a drawer
that my wife has been asking me to build for the last several years. I'm
not that old but I am slow.

Jim,
Jim Bounds also has these emblems with the adhesive already attached and
the cutting done for you. I installed one recently, and you are right,
it does spruce up the appearence to the glove box door. Wonder why GM
left this space blank in first place?
