Generator Fuel Line Path

When I purchased my Royale in Texas, the PO said that the generator would run when pulled out, but die in a couple of minutes after closing the
drawer. We witnessed this event, and agreed it must be the fuel line being pinched. When I got to the first campsite that night, I removed the too
short piece of hose to the generator fuel pump and replaced it with a longer piece of Gates Barricade hose. It now runs fine with the drawer closed.
But when I pull it out and look at the hose, it appears to be pinched somewhat as well. The hose currently goes from the generator fuel pump to a
plastic fitting that comes up through the bottom of the generator compartment. The hose from the fuel tank is on the other end of this fitting.

Can anyone describe the proper route the hose needs to take behind the generator in order to remain clear? Should it be zip tied to the 120V flex
conduit/control wire/battery cable bundle?

Thank you.

Greg,
Should the metal bracket be not there, we cut the 1/4 " hose to not have
excess when unit is pulled out.

I thought that there was a long “screen door” type spring on the drawer hose from the factory. This dressed the hose and prevented kink when
closed. Being behind the rear tires the springs are rotted and gone. Mine was just lying there.

Just so I'm clear, the fuel line is just laying on the bottom of the generator compartment, correct? That's where I moved it yesterday. It was coiled
up behind the generator and getting mashed against the back wall.

Thanks.
