Generator Compartment - Burn marks in wood

Ya never know! Anything is possible with this coach. What is interesting is
the shape of the burn mark matches the manifold. There are no signs on the
generator itself indicating a fire, but the one in the coach now could be a
different one, even tho it looks to be 26 years old.

Anyway, I am going to be replacing the wood back there and will be
insulating it with FibreFrax.

I assumed that this was normal. My unit has the same marks.
If you think about it the wood is only a couple of inches
above the exhaust manifold and the exhaust mainfold of an
engine under half load often runs cherry red.
