Paul,
My coach came with a set of worn out tires on the original 16.5" steel
wheels, I replaced them with Generals on Alcoa rims, I can only comment
about what some of our GMC club members have told me and that is that
some club members have used Generals and Bridgestones and prefer the
ride they get with the Generals. I have driven on many different
Interstates and side roads and I usually drive using one hand, my coach
does not have a road wander problem, I don't know if that is a result of
good steering components or good tires, I've never had any steering work
done. I am comfortable in the driver's seat. The driver/passenger
compartment is not quiet as a morgue, but, Vivian and I can talk to each
other while going down the highway without having to shout. I did cover
the floor of the driver/passenger compartment and engine hatch with foil
backed bubble wrap and then installed the carpet. Cuts down on engine
heat transfer.
