Larry, I chose white faced gauges from accompany called Auto Meter.
Phantom series with green back lighting. The total cost of the gauges
and senders was around $750.00 Canadian. This also includes a 6000 rpm
tach. from VDO and an electronic shift indicator from Classic
Instruments. All are white faced. I made a new bezel from aluminum and
had it powder coated Semi-gloss satin black. All in all I really like my
dash layout, but it is labor intensive and mentally challenging if
cutting all the wires behind your existing dash can be considered a fun
thing. I probably have about 400 to 500 hours in the investigation,
gauge decision, bezel construction, final assembly and wiring of the new
instrument cluster. Once you see all the choices available for gauges
you will have a hard time deciding also. I used to have pictures on my
web site. Maybe I will have to re-post them as an interesting side bar.
