Hey Emery,

Many thanks for the updates from Rain....it keeps all us unfortunates
who couldn't attend in on the fun. You recently mentioned a NAPA number
for manifold gaskets....was that for stock exhaust manifolds? and for
which motor? I have the
403. Mine have been milled about 10K ago but they failed the inspection.

Also, generally, a few other questions.

The Ragusa trans pan has been pouring out trans fluid. I found all
fasteners sloppy finger tight. Is this common with the aluminum pan? I
am new to the coach and am not sure when the pan was installed. Do they
need periodic tightening?

Are there polyurethane controls arm bushings availiable? I am taking the
coach
to Jim Frey next week for a complete front end rebuild and need to know
what
might give the best long range service. A local truck front end shop
said
the front end needed:

shocks
upper and lower control arm bushings
upper and lower ball joints
sway bar bushings
a drag link
rotors.

This volume of work forces me to take it to someone knowledgeable who
can also
service the bearings and maybe the carb. Has anyone used Frey and have
any comments? Glen ballparked $1700-2000 or more for the work.
I need to complete the work within two more weeks or pay another
$175 MD inspection fee so doing it myself is out of the question.Besides
I wouldn't have a clue on the bushings or bearings.

Has anyone gotten new KYB's on the lifetime warranty? I have the
reciept but am not the original purchaser....5 years back at Sirums'.

All comments welcome.

I installed my Ragusa pan in '97 and haven't found it necessary to
tighten the screws. They probably need to be snugged up (and watched)

I think I have them on my front end.

. Has anyone used Frey and

He checked out my air once when I was passing thru PA but he couldn't
help me. He also adjusted my brakes. I can't comment one way or the
other.

Mine were on the coach when I bought it and have been in service about 7
years but I know if I have a problem Alex Sirum will replace them.
