Went on a little trip today, bout 75 miles east on US HWY 82 and return.
Gas prices were shocking. First, where I live is on the Mississippi River
where the oil terminals are. Cheap gas here, Not!!! It's running at $1.60
for unleaded. Now, the same dealers here ship this gas to Greenwood, 50
miles away and are selling it for $1.50. Go figure. There is a distributor
here who ships gas to the Jackson Metro area, 100 miles away, and sells it
for on an average of $.05 cheaper at it's own name brand stations.
Just finished reading an article of interest by a Saudi. Excerpt, "Thirty
years from now, there is no problem with oil. Oil will be left in the
ground. The Stone Age came to an end not because we had a lack of stones,
and the oil age will come to an end not because we have a lack of oil,"
