I read a number of RV information sites and have read a lot of what Gary wrote. I got to talk to him at an FMCA rally.

He contracted COVID-19 and I read that he was on a ventilator. I knew this was bad, but I had hope.

Last night the end was announced.

Safe Travels Gary

This is terrible news. I was recently corresponding with him about lithium batteries and mentioned Jerry Work’s recent presentation.

I’m so sad to hear this. His journalism was so helpful.

I will miss reading his articles. Apparently, he was on a ventilator for 4 weeks, according to RVtravel site. I like that he covered many of the
typical problems all RVers face.

This is a small world, this RV community. We are all interconnected. A loss
by one, is a loss to all of us. This virus is no joke. We will all miss
Gary. His passing should serve as a reminder to us all. Life is short. If
you have some nagging projects lurking out there, get 'er done.
Me, I have been sheltered in place for almost a month. Only venture
out for perishable food items like produce and dairy.
There has been a gradual encroachment by Evergreen blackberries into
my yard from neighbors neglecting to take care of their properties. So,
this week we declared war upon blackberries. A small walk behind Bobcat
excavator, brush cutters, pole type chain saws, rakes, shovels, machetes,
blood, sweat and copious application of colorful language due to thorns on
the blackberries, chipper/shredder and opposable thumbs prevailed. If I am
going to have to remain sequestered here, by golly, those blackberries are
going to be pushed back to a manageable position. If my neighbors won't
deal with them, Roundup, Crossbow and I will prevail. Those respirators
got to be good for something, right? You all take care out there. So long
Gary. We all will miss you.
