There are blade type circuit breakers available. Keep in mind that some of the breakers are longer than the fuse that they
replace, so some panels may have problems with interference.

Great Minds....and all that old stuff!

I was browsing thru a new JC catalog the other day and spotted the new
typefuse blocks and thought it would be a wonderful replacement for mine
which not onlyhas rust but atsome point an overload wiped out one side so
badly the fuse block had tobe bypassed and in-line fuese used.

The ne type is clean and for all the reasons you mentioned, a best
choice. Thanks for reminding me to order one.

Maybe you should look at the wide range of fuse blocks available from
http://www.painlesswiring.com.

Click on the middle picture (of their catalog) on the bottom of the
first page. They've got lots of neat stuff there.
