I there an easy way to clean the fuse box. My cigar lighter problem was in the fuse box. I clean or tried to clean the terminal. It is much better but still not what I would call clean I used a tube cleaner to clean it but there must be a better way.

Actually, a good contact cleaner, like crc electrical grade qd contact
cleaner, or corrosion block, sprayed onto the de-energised fuse box, then
followed up with a pencil eraser or green scotch brite pad, then blown dry
with compressed air or computer keyboard cleaner/duster should do the
trick. Stubborn green corrosion might take getting in there with a pocket
knife and scraping a bit. Small stainless steel wire brushes will work,
but, they conduct electricity, so be very sure to remove all the loose
wires from the brush before hooking up your batteries.

My dash lights went out and It was the fuse holder. I took all the fuses out and cleaned the holders with a Dremel tool with a small round wire tip.

Art,

I did real well with a can of contact cleaner and a sacrificial (you have to bend it) .22 cleaning wire brush.

Actually, I used it straight on the house fuses, then bent it to use it in the chassis fuse block.

The Fuse panel on the inside of the firewall is a separate device.

When you disconnect it from its landing you will see not just two sources
of supply...... It actually has 4 our. I plan to retain all OEM
strategies........so next owner will not have figure out what was
modified. Nothing but updated fuseholding devices, eh?

I really looks to be a simple swap of wires Fuses, just Say'n.

Thanks for the comments.

I took the fuse box loose. I found there is not much I can do as all connections are fix the the fuse box. I guess the connections to the fuse box are not removable unless the fuse connection will slide back out. If so there must be trick to how they come apart.

Most opf the priginal house blocks were riveted together, and with age thw rivets have loosened. The options are drill the rivets and replace with
brass #4 hardware or replace the block entirely.
