Fuel Prices on 101 South?

Lets see, It is high oil well construction costs, nah haven't been drilling
lately, I know, it must be high pipeline development expenses, no, no new
pipelines being built either. Could be that transportation costs from
refinery to fuel stations has increased? Maybe, Maybe with the economy in
the toilet and nobody driving as much that tax revenue from gasoline is
down? No, there should be an over supply if that happened, lowering prices.
Could it be the pirates off the Somalia coast hijacking oil tankers? I think
that one possible cause might be that it is the other pirates that own the
oil companies. Just my opinion from this side of the looking glass or rabbit
hole, take your pick. Any way you look at it, it costs more to put 50
gallons of gasahol in our GMC's than it used to to put straight gasoline a
few years ago.

If lower taxes will spur the economy and create jobs, why wouldn't lower
fuel prices increase consumption and raise revenue for the oil companies?

Oh Oh Terrance, You are making way too much common sense of all this. Where
is your appreciation for a good plausible conspiracy?

Suggestion -check the realfuel.com sit and see if a non ethanol station is
close by. Twice the one in town has been cheaper than the ethanol stations
and now is only .05 more per gal. It's worth it!

Regular dropped to 3.15 when we crossed into Az. It is 3.05 20 miles east of here so I will wait til we leave and fill up, heading east on Monday. Traffic was heavy on I-10 today so I guess California folks are used to their higher prices.
