When the "main" tank is selected, the guage is pegged on full no matter how
much is in the tank(s). When switched to "aux", the guage gives reasonable
readings. We drove with the switch in the "aux" position until it read 1/4,
then switched to "main". That way, if it sputtered, we still had our 6 or 7
gals. reserve in the "aux" tank.
I'm assuming we have a short in the wire(s) coming from the "main" (rear)
tank. Any suggestions where to start looking?
