Pretty easy once you get the turn signal bucket out. (2 nuts). be sure to mark long pin orientation and the color of the wires (in my case purple for the running lite, black for the turn signal) and the ground which is connected to a mounting stud . Now cut the wires short to the bucket so you have enough room to solder on new wire with connectors .. Next in the bucket socket which hold the bulb is a key ed disk wire holder you can force it out with an 1/8 rod from the back side now remove the disk , 2 wires with button ends and a spring (mine was broken the bulb went in at a odd angle the problem??) using a after market bulb socket for parts, the button end wires are long enough and the new spring fit. the OEM keyed disk was in good shape,. cleaned ever thing out (some corrosion but good quality bronze housing ) reassembled with a little grease and push the keyed disk passed the de tent with a dowel. Installed connectors plugs so the whole unit can removed ,, also silicone and a split plastic tube to prevent wires from shorting due vibration. and added another ground wire to insure long life. i am sure this will outlast me !! thanks larry
