Has anyone actually measured their front and rear track centerlines?
I have a '77 Palm Beach, and the 1977 operating manual states:
Track.....................Front - 75.28 in.
Rear - 82.12 in.
I measured mine and they are not what the manual states. They are:
Front 75.00 in.
Rear 82.75 in.
I have stock steel wheels, and 8.75R16.5 Michelin tires.
Would the Alcoa wheels have a different track width?
This was brought to my attention by the tires not tracking where they
were supposed to when I drove up on a ramp I built for maintenance. The
ramp was built using the "manual's" dimensions .. not much difference,
but enough to be noticeable.
Comments will be appreciated.
