Heinz what I did was separate the front frame and rolled the motor ,
trans, and diff. out as one unit. The GMC will not fit in my garage, but
this allowed my wife and me to roll the "clip" inside the garage.
This will allow me to rebuild the motor and restore the suspension. This
also will let me start the motor to break in the cam and check for
leaks, etc. I am on my second reading of the Mondello
manual. NAPA sells an inline
fuel check valve. The PN is 63x6 this has a 3 lb. spring. I don't know
if this would be a problem. The info I get from GMCnet is
great. THANKS

Jim - Could you tell us more about what you did? Any pictures? Are there a
lot of parts that have to be removed or disconnected compared to taking the
engine out through the hatch?
Thanks - Robin
