I haven't checked/verified that the bridge rectifier is the problem, but the PO said the BR was ok and the field windings are the problem (open or
short circuited).

I would like to NOT send this unit to the salvage yard as scrap, so if anyone wants to come and get it, or can help me figure out how to get it
transported to Jim Miller in Ohio at no cost to me, I will do what I can to help.

The board will need Johnny Bridges healing hands to restore it to functionality (the working one that was on it was swapped out with one that doesn't
work).

The most convenient pick up location I can arrange would be near I-65 in Cullman, AL.

I'll be in Priceville in Priceville the first part of November, I can pick it up then if you can hold it out of the weather till then.. Between it
and another someone gabe me I expect I can make one work, and perhaps both.

If you are in Priceville in November please give me a call. I live in Decatur. I’d like to talk about my generator if you have time. I’m about 10 minutes from Priceville exit.

Thanks

Yeah, I'll be up there at the dog show. Whattaya want to talk about on it? I usually stay with a cousin, The Widder Hudson just out of Huntsville.
In Millbrook for Columbiana shows and Montgomery shows. On base at the arsenal for the Anniston shows which are at the Talladega race track.
That being said, Mr Jim Miller's son knows way more about these toys than I do.

It has been out of the weather since I got it. It can sit where it is until November.

Priceville is about 60 miles from me, so if I can borry a pickup truck to haul it, I can move it that far.

Lemme know specific dates and geographic coordinates as we get closer to the first part of November.

We are talking about the whole genset and not just the control board, right?

Yeah, the whole set. Someone gave me another whole set I may be able to make on good one. We can get a couple folks to help set it in the back of my
car... I have a stinger hoist to lift it out and put it in the shop,.

I got an engine lift that breaks down flat that I can throw in the pickup with the genset. Me and you should be able to do what we need with it, if
the trunk lid/hatchback isn't in the way.

Lemme know date/time/specific geographic coordinates when the time of the dog show gets close.

An engine lift should do fine... it will lift a THM425 out through the hatch by actual test (three times), and the ONAN drawer isn't as tall.
8 - 11 NOV. I'll be staying in Madison. I'll get you the venue name and location a week or so out. It's an ag center up there someplace.

I used it to put the 4k Onan in the Sequoia, and pull it out, and put it in again no problem. And we used it to remove the 6k from its GMC and into a
pickup to bring it where it is now.

The trunk lid/lift hatch that I am concerned about is the one on your car that we will be loading the genset into.

Glad to see my Onan is still getting around, even without it's GMC shell!

I was going to get it working and use it during extended power outages, but we haven't had one longer than 8 hours since 2011. I can sweat without AC
for short outages like that.

My brother bought a 7kw set and I can take the stuff out of my freezer and fridge and take it over to his house if we have an outage that is going to
last a day or more.
