Well this is embarrassing. A couple of years ago, when I was getting the Sequoia ready to sell, I needed a pair OF OEM seats, so I traded a pair of
Odyssey seats for a pair of OEM seats.

While re-arranging my SO's storage shed, I found a pair that someone had given me a few years before that. Too many dead brain cells, I guess.

Some of you may remember the relay that we orchestrated to get them from a rally to Birmingham.

So they are the kind with the armrests that fold down. They have been re-upholstered in dark blue cloth. I did a quick search of the photo site but
couldn't find any pictures of them (although I thought there were some there...)

The most convenient pickup location I can arrange is near I-65 around Cullman, AL.

If no interest by Monday, July 23, 2018, they go to the dump. Not saying I won't hold on to them a little longer for someone, but if nobody says
anything before then, they will be gone.

About 10 years ago, I took a pair of OEM seats out of my daughters 1973
Painted Desert; they had been redone in a dark blue cloth. Best I
remember, I carried them to Gene Dotson's home and he carried them to the
Bean Station rally. They required the slope seat base and were destined to
go to someone in Alabama. I still have some extra cloth that they were
redone in. Might be the seats I sent. No, I don't need them.

These are almost certainly your old seats, because everything was as you describe. Although I don't know enough about seats to say why they need the
slant pedestals.

I still need them gone.

Last call on the seats. Tomorrow I will make them vanish from my possession unless someone expresses some interest.

I would love to take them but unless I can put together a relay to Cal, I would have to pass. Do you have photos of them to see the colors? They would
make a well traveled set of seats. :)

Just a suggestion; you might try calling Fastenal corporate HQ. They used to
ship items everywhere at VERY reasonable rates. They use empty space on
their trucks. I just hate to see anything original GMC go to the landfill.

Not trying to be an AH (that's just a side benefit), but I am not inclined to hassle with a shipping company and associated packing.

I can haul them probably as much as 100 miles one way, if someone wants them or want to help transport/relay them to someone that wants them.

Since I got something that sort of resembled interest, I will extend the deadline until July 23, 2018.

If I got no firm commitment by then that will get them out of my storage shed in the next month or so, they will be gone.

Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Jerry Wheeler sent me pics of the ones he probably sent to you?? They are nice seats but I was hoping for the original hard shell backs. I think I'll
pass. They look like they would make someone a nice set.
