Heinz. I know you have seen the fold down tv on this page

http://www.custominstrumentpanels.com/accessor.htm

and the pop out of the dash panel is cute also. Are you thinking of a fold
down 13" flat panel from the ceiling ??? Seems like a good place for the
GPS
rear view TV
DVD-TV
diagnostic monitoring
PC

This is our future, and for sure the new stuff will come out on the PC
before it hits the custom market.

I guess my question is, do you ever think of hanging your flat panels from
the ceiling and having them fold up when not in use?

Been keeping my eye on these already, but thanks for the refresher.

The problem at the moment, as I see it, is that the screens/monitors carry a
lot of extra baggage, i.e. the frame area required.

The 13" without the large "borders" would make a nice screen. The Apple Display
would indeed make an excellent "all" display for ceiling mounting. I just
havn't been able to find a suitable mount.

As far as putting it up in the mirror area, I think it'll be too far away or
limit you to 640x480.
The foldouts from the new "entertainment centers" may provide better fits.

It is indeed an exiting era.
